Characteristics of Acid-Resistant Steel Sheets

First of all, stainless steel mill products — including acid-resistant sheets — are generally divided into two main categories: flat products and long products.
Within flat products, the following can be distinguished: coiled strips:
– hot-rolled, with thicknesses ranging from 2.0 to 13.0 mm,
– cold-rolled, with thicknesses from 0.3 to 8.0 mm, and plates up to 150 mm thick and approximately 4000 mm wide.
At INOX Polska, flat products are supplied in various surface finishes. Check which one best suits your needs:
1D finish – surface after hot rolling, annealing, and pickling. It is typically used where appearance is not critical, for example in hidden structures or technical components.
2D finish – surface after cold rolling, annealing, and pickling. This finish is ideal for engineering and industrial applications.
2B finish – similar to 2D, but with an additional smooth rolling process that reduces surface roughness while increasing brightness. Its superior aesthetic qualities make it one of the most commonly used finishes.
2R finish – surface after bright annealing in a protective atmosphere, resulting in a smooth, reflective surface that is also very easy to clean.
